Marker Disneysea: Mediterranean Harbor

The entrance to this park is a romantic Italian harbor village, inspired by places like Venice and Portofino. This is inspired by the one in Tokyo Disneysea, and like it, the area is shaped like a 'V'. Also like it, a working hotel is in the area to give guests a more immersive feel.

After going through the main gates, guests see a giant globe with Mickey Mouse sailing on it. Going behind it and under the hotel, guests enter into the village itself. A park is in the center of the area, where characters meet. Behind that is where guests can sit down to watch water parades and nighttime entertainment. Going right, guests find help and services at St. Paul's Hall as well as shop at Bella Roma and Carnival Shop. Also down there is the Ristorante Portofino, which offers an authentic Italian cuisine. Donaldo's Pizzeria, located in a building across from the main hotel area, offers pizza. It shares a building with Gondola Gifts. The shops Jewels of the Mediterranean and Sail Away Store, the biggest store in the park, are found under the hotel building. At the end of this area is where the parade floats are hidden in a mountain-like structure. This is also where guests can board the Mark Disneysea Steamer Line, which takes them to Arabian Coast.
To the right is where guests will find Venetian canals. In the center of the canals, accessible by bridge, is the Etna Italian Restaurant, another choice for Italian food. Guests can see the canal near the close-by shop, Ronaldo's Emporium, where they can board a Venetian Gondola. This takes them through the canals and out into the lagoon. In a building on the right side of the canal is the Petrified Glass Store and the Figaro's Clothiers shop. Further right is a mountainous area with a bridge going through, which takes people to Discovery Bay.
Right near the Discovery Bay entrance is a long bridge with houses on it, inspired by the similar-styled bridge in Florence. On it is the Florence Market, which offers several merchandise to passersby. On the other side of the bridge is an entrance to Mermaid Lagoon to the left as well as a continuation of the harbor to the right. At the base of El Fuego, the volcano at the heart of the park, is the Fortress Explorations. Here, guests can explore the fortress of the Society of Explorers and Adventurers. Nearby this is a secret passage into Forgotten Rivers.

When coming up with this park, I wanted to incorporate several elements from Tokyo Disneysea, including this. I wanted a different feel of a Main Street, one that gave guests the idea that they were going on adventures. I feel like an Italian port city, like Venice, would be a nice way to do that.
