Marker Disneyland: Star Wars Galaxy's Edge
A Long Time Ago in a Galaxy Far, Far Away.........you know how it goes. This is your chance to live your own story in that galaxy. Set on a rocky spire planet known as Battuu, this is where guests immerse themselves in the Star Wars universe and go on adventures of their own.
When entering from Fantasyland, guests emerge in a forest area where a Resistance base has been set up. New recruits can be presented their first mission inside the base itself, but in the process, they are captured by the First Order and must escape from a Star Destroyer. This is the premise of Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance. Near the exits to the ride is the Resistance Supply shop.
Going further into the town of Black Spire Outpost, guests will enter a bazaar. This features the shops Jewels of Bith, Toydarian Toymaker, and Creature Stall, as well as Kat Saka's Kettle and Ronto Roasters. They then enter the main town, where they can find interactive experiences at the Droid Depot or Savi's Workshop. Dok-Ondar's Den of Antiquities offers merchandise as well, and Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo is a restaurant. Further in, guests will see the Millenium Falcon, which marks the entrance to Millennium Falcon: Smuggler's Run. Oga's Cantina is closeby, and depending on how you did on the ride, they might treat you differently. First Order Cargo is also nearby, marked by Kylo Ren's shuttle. There are also several Milk Stands in the area.

I worry that this goes against my philosophy of Disney without the bad stuff. Although I like Galaxy's Edge, some people say it was made out of greed and ego and doesn't feel like Star Wars at all. While I disagree with this, I do see their point, and there are improvements all around. Things are cheaper, there is no alcoholic beverages sold at the cantina, and such. While I did consider putting Star Tours and other things here, I didn't want it to clash with the immersive atmosphere. This land is set in the sequel era, and so I'd have the original and prequel era-things elsewhere. Luckily, Tomorrowland has an entrance into this land as well, so there could be a nice transition there.

I love Galaxy’s Edge!
