Marker Disneyland: Fantasyland

This is the biggest area of the park. Dedicated to fairy tales and fantasies, this is where guests can travel through the worlds of their favorite stories in five different zones.

The first zone is a Bavarian village festival. Guests enter it from a side path near Frontierland, an alternate Fantasyland route, and most famously, through the Enchanted Fairytale Castle. Inside the castle are the shops Sorcerer's Workshop and Bibbiti Bobbiti Boutique as well as the restaurant Fairytale Dining Hall. Guests can also see beautiful mosaics of the princesses in a walkthrough attraction spanning two floors. The village itself is behind the castle. In the center of it is Cinderella's Carousel. On the left side of the village is the 3-D show, Mickey's Philharmagic, which exits into Fantasia Fair. Across from that is "It's a Small World," which is housed in a cottage-style building. Near the edge of the water is Dumbo the Flying Elephant, which is near a snack stand called Big Top Bites. On the right side of the village is the Princess Chateau. Here, guests go through one of two lines to encounter princesses. There are three princesses in each line. Storybook Store and Village Haus are located nearby. Also nearby is the station for the Dream Voyage, a boat ride where guests travel past sculptures of Disney stories before going into a magical cave where they come to life.
In the southwestern portion of the area is a forest region. Here, guests can ride The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, which is located in a cottage building. The ride exits into Pooh Corner, which sells Winnie the Pooh merchandise as well as snacks. At the edge of the area is a large mountain where an extended version of Seven Dwarfs Mine Train is housed. Wishing Well is a nearby gift shop.
Further south along the border with Tomorrowland is a small Alice in Wonderland area. This features a gift shop called Curiouser and Curiouser as well as a buffet, the Queen of Hearts Banquet Hall. Nearby the hall is Mad Tea Party. The parade route cuts through here and goes up the forest area.
North of the forest area is a section themed to London. The parade route goes past a park in the center where characters meet and ends around here. Thames Traders is a gift shop on the right. Across the street from a road going into a disguised entrance to Galaxy's Edge is Peter Pan's Flight. Jolly Holiday is a restaurant nearby. In the northern part of the square is Cruella De Vil Fashions. On the right part of the area is The Practically Perfect Adventures of Mary Poppins, a dark ride themed to the film. Nearby that is Spoonful of Sugar, a candy shop.

The last section of Fantasyland is a French village area, themed to the one seen in Beauty and the Beast. Bonjour! Gifts and Enchanted Objects are two nearby shops while Gaston's Tavern is a restaurant. At the edge of the area is the Beast's Castle, where guests can ride The Enchanted Tale of Beauty and the Beast. This is also where the Fantasyland station for the Marker Disneyland Railroad can be found. Located nearby the castle is the entrance to the "Be Our Guest" Restaurant.

This area was a little challenging for me. I wanted to have something familiar yet different, so I went through many ideas. In the end, I decided to do this. In a way, it's the Magic Kingdom meets Shanghai Disneyland, with a small dose of Tokyo Disneyland in it. The areas of the land would surround the Dream Voyage attraction. Although I thought about having a theater around here, I didn't know what to do with it or where I would put it, so I eventually tossed the idea.

  1. I really love this area-I like it being divided into the different areas. It had a lot of my favorite things like Dream Voyage, Winnie the Pooh, Mary Poppins, mine train, etc
