Marker Disneyland: Adventureland

This is a world of adventure, where guests can go on a harrowing quest to exotic places. Aside from exploring the world, they can also get a glimpse of cultural things from Polynesia, Africa, Asia, and the Caribbean. This area is headlines by a large body of water, which fills several areas to add immersion and makes the course of the Jungle Cruise.

When walking into Adventureland, guests go under a Polynesian banner bearing the land's name and enter a South Pacific village. Ahead is a theater where Moana: We Know the Way plays. It is a stage show in the water that uses fountains and other things to tell Moana's story. On the left side is the Aloha Isle, where many ice cream treats, including Dole Whip, are served, as well as the Enchanted Tiki Room. On the right is Tahiti Terrace, a restaurant, and South Seas Souvenirs, a gift shop.

To the south of the Polynesian area is a British Caribbean fortress, where the tunnel from Main Street enters. In the waters is the Jolly Roger, a pirate ship that can be explored. Near the entrance to Main Street is The Pirate's League, where guests can become pirates. In the fortress is Pirates of the Caribbean, which exits into Pieces of Eight. Captain's Kitchen is a restaurant where guests can see passing boats from the ride.

West of the Polynesian village and beyond an entryway into Frontierland is an African village. Here, guests can shop at Tribal Traders and dine at the Explorer's Club. Nearby is the world-famous Jungle Cruise, which takes guests on a tour of the jungle rivers of the world, encountering wild animals, ancient mysteries, and a few jokes along the way. Jungle Juice is a drink shop near a dragon-decorated gateway. Tarzan's Treehouse overlooks the waters of the Jungle Cruise and is accessed via bridge.
The last section of the land is a Southeast Asian area, inspired by the land of Kumandra in Raya and the Last Dragon. Near a tunnel to Frontierland is a gift shop, Dragon Gifts. Near the side of the water is Boun's Shrimporium, a restaurant selling Thai, Vietnamese, and other Asian foods. In the back of the area is a cave with the archway of Heart Palace in the background. Here, guests can ride Raya and the Dragon Journey, a motion simulator where it's supposed to feel like you're running on raindrops. The ride exits into Treasures of Kumandra, a gift shop. On a stage near the entrance to Frontierland is the Kumandra Spirit Rally, where the five lands demonstrate their cultures in a stage show.

For this area, I had a little bit of debate for its fourth section. I was torn between an Indiana Jones area and a Raya area. After some more time thinking, I decided to have Indiana Jones in the second park (Marker Disneysea). In the meantime, I put Raya here. With Southeast Asia being an underrated area of the world, it was nice to give it some attention. Plus, Raya deserves some presence in the parks as well, so there we have it.

  1. Love the idea of including Raya and Moana here! It’s a fun way to include some of the newer characters and films while staying true to the innocence of a Disney Park. I really like the ride idea For Raya.
